Where Stars Are Born brings emerging singers together through an online competition, with selected performers invited towards a live UK Grand Finale.

Submit a performance link for each song. YouTube, Vimeo and Google Drive links are welcome; your video must be accessible to the jury. Large video uploads are not required.
Age categories
Our provisional age categories are 5–7 · 8–10 · 11–13 · 14–15 · 16–17 · 18+. Final eligibility rules and the date used to calculate age will be published before applications open.

These are the provisional styles. Rock and R&B sit within Pop & Contemporary initially. Each song is a separate competitive entry, so an entrant may enter more than one style.
Solo or together
The planned formats are Solo, Duo / Trio, and Vocal Group / Ensemble. Group eligibility and age rules will be confirmed before entry opens.
How it works
01 — Apply online. Complete your application, provide your performance links and pay the approved entry fee.
02 — Jury review. Each competitive entry is assessed.
03 — Results and recognition. Online results and certificates follow; selected performers may be featured with the appropriate permission.
04 — UK invitation. Winners and selected singers may be invited to the UK Grand Finale.
UK Grand Finale · September 2027
Venue to be announced. Attendance is by selection or invitation. A separate, limited wildcard qualification route is planned; paying an entry fee will not automatically secure a place in the UK event.
Participants are responsible for their travel, accommodation, visa arrangements and related attendance costs. UK event fees will be separate from online competition fees.
Dates, fees and awards
The online competition will be paid. Final fees, application dates, judging criteria, awards and competition rules will be announced before applications open.
Parents, teachers and schools
Parents or guardians will provide the required details and permissions for minors. Teachers, coaches and schools will be able to coordinate multiple entrants. Applications will not automatically create public participant profiles.
